Karen O’Flynn, Clayton Utz

I learned over the weekend of the very sad news about Rob.

My encounters with Rob over the years at various Lex Mundi and IBA events were very enjoyable. He was great company, funny and generous, but always insightful about whatever issue was being discussed.

I know that you and your colleagues will be mourning Rob’s passing. I am also thinking of his family. I met Kathryn a number of times. My husband and I spent a very pleasant day with Kathryn and Rob visiting Segovia on the Sunday between the end of the Lex Mundi and the beginning of the IBA conferences in Madrid one year.

Jean-François Levraud, Managing Partner, Gide Loyrette Nouel

On behalf of Gide and our Gide Africa team, we would like to express our most sincere condolences and deepest sympathy following the passing of Robert Legh.

Robert was a respected, trusted and admired leader. He was also a strong supporter of the partnership we started with Bowmans and we will always remember his deep involvement in this project. Our collaboration with Robert has always been very constructive and pleasant for all of us.

Our thoughts go to his family, friends and the people of your firm.

Geoff Moore, Managing Partner, Arthur Cox

It is with a heavy heart that I write to express my sincere condolences on behalf of everyone at Arthur Cox on hearing the terrible news earlier today of Rob’s passing. The awful virus that is COVID has taken such a heavy toll on so many families and organisations and I was so very sorry to hear that it has taken Rob from Bowmans.

We too have lost some of our partners whilst still in practice and it really is a huge shock when things like this occur.

Please do pass on our condolences to Rob’s family and friends at the firm. Remember him fondly.
