He fondly remembers his interactions with Rob who impressed him with his very elegant and polite manner, that appeared very human*. His death is an immense human loss – for his family and the partnership. He will forever think of Rob with fond memories.

*the word ‘mensch’ in German has a particular meaning which is difficult to translate. Hence you will find English speakers refer to someone as a ‘mensch’.

Will you please extend my condolences, and also from the other partners in our firm who have known Rob, to his family. Rob was not only an exceptional lawyer but a very kind person and I always had him in the highest regard. He is certainly going to leave a big void in the legal fraternity and also at Bowmans.
