The final National Data and Cloud Policy was published by the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies on 31 May 2024, following Cabinet’s approval of the Policy on 27 March 2024. The Policy, which sets out a framework for managing and using data through cloud computing technologies, marks a substantial shift from the interventions initially proposed in the draft policy, which was published for public comment in April 2021.
