  • Green Cities, Infrastructure and Energy Programme, a United Kingdom government initiative focused on supporting sustainable urban development and climate-resilient infrastructure in lower-income countries (particularly Asia and Africa) as partners to the Government of Zambia in drafting the request for proposals, structuring the legal and functionality criteria and reviewing the technical and financial qualification and functionality criteria in the Fast-Track IPP Procurement Programme targeting solar photovoltaic projects. *
  • Valterra Platinum Ltd and Rustenburg Platinum mines, as commercial members in the Badirammogo Water User Association in reviewing the draft members’ agreement, the draft water offtake agreement, asset use agreement, the funding agreement, implementation agreement, common terms agreement and the ECC contract direct agreement. *
  • Lenders (consisting of local commercial banks, international banks and cover providers) in relation to a project financing for the development, construction and operation of a gigafactory located in Sunderland, UK for the supply of electric vehicle batteries. *
  • A Buyer in relation to its entry into a long-term Power Purchase agreement. *
  • Mulilo Wind Enterprises Proprietary Limited in relation to a vendor due diligence review for a sale of shares in two project companies (Longyuan Mulilo de Aar Windpower (RF) Proprietary Limited and Longyuan Mulilo de Aar 2 North (RF) Proprietary Limited) that have previously been awarded as preferred bidders under REIPPPP. *
  • First Rand Bank Limited (acting through its Rand Merchant Bank division) in connection with a bridge facility and term facility provided to the Borrower for purposes of funding a portion of its purchase consideration for an acquisition of a target company and working capital purposes post the acquisition of the target company. *
  • First Rand Bank Limited (acting through its Rand Merchant Bank division) in connection with a GPB term facility provided to the Borrower for purposes of funding the acquisition of the target companies. *
  • The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (acting through its Corporate and Investment Bank division) in relation to a legal due diligence in respect of any legal bankability issues associated with the project.*
  • Metair Investments Limited in relation to the extension of the Final Maturity Date of the First Additional Loan Facility Agreement in terms of which the Lenders made available a Rand denominated revolving credit facility. *
  • Sasol Limited in relation to its renewable energy captive power procurement, its renewable energy procurement programme for approximately 600MW with Air Liquide as co-off taker and its renewable energy procurement programme for approximately 100MW for their green hydrogen electrolyser, including negotiating wheeling agreements with Eskom Holdings SOC Limited (as South Africa’s main electricity supplier responsible for generating, transmitting, distributing and selling electricity) and municipalities and advising on power purchase agreements.*
  • Acciona Energy South Africa Global Proprietary Limited in relation to a number of projects that were bid into the REIPPPP Round 5 and REIPPPP Round 6 in South Africa.*
  • Macquarie Group Limited, a global financial services group, in relation to certain non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality obligations compliance. *
  • Praesidiad, a global perimeter security company in connection with a balance sheet restructuring of the group’s senior financial indebtedness. The transaction involved a re-tranching of the senior debt and a change of control of the group, done by way of a scheme of arrangement.*
