Experience
- Part of the Coordinating Counsel Team for Google’s Legal Hub covering Sub-Saharan Africa on thematic issues such as fintech, privacy, technology, telecoms infrastructure, e-commerce, regulatory and compliance projects.
- Advising Uber routinely on their operations in Kenya and regulation of ridesharing technology and the regulation of such products such as Uber Rides and Uber Eats and their expansion in other African countries.
- Assisting Walter Bushnell LLC, a leading pharmaceutical company globally with trademark search and registration in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Mauritius and Zambia.
- Advising Microsoft (MEA) on provision of cloud services across countries in Africa, AI regulation, product launches and data protection regulation.
- Involved in conducting due diligences for multinational companies with regards to their IP and IT systems, data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Advising a hotel owner in connection with its hotel management and franchise negotiations with the Radisson hotel group.
- Advised and assisted local, regional and international clients in setting up various legal entities in Kenya as well as preparing and filing the relevant documents.
