Overview

Tetyana Lobachova is a senior associate in our Banking and Finance department and a member of our Commercial Property practice.

She advises on various aspects of property law and conveyancing matters. Tetyana specialises in commercial leases, sale of immovable property agreements and real estate due diligences.

Experience

  • Assisted in various real estate due diligences, including:
    • Chevron South Africa for sale of majority stake in the company;
    • retail operations of House of Busby;
    • Mr Price on its acquisitions of Power Fashion, Yuppiechef and Studio 88 from a real estate perspective; and
    • various renewable energy company acquisitions, as well as acquisitions of companies in the food, telecommunications and private schooling sectors.

Tetyana has advised:

  • BTE Renewables with land rights opinions with respect to various bids under the REIPPPP programme.
  • Grindrod Holdings South Africa with respect to their internal property restructure, drafting of sale of property agreements, providing transactional advice and attending to the transfer of around 30 immovable properties.
  • Pick n Pay in its sale and transfer of two shopping centres in Cape Town (and related multi-tenanted rental enterprise).
  • Capitec in its purchase of the Liberty Life building from Spear Reit Limited.
  • Southern Sun hotel group, as borrower counsel.
  • Zara, Massmart, Flint Group, Gateway Delta, Oracle South Africa, Bio2watt Energy Holdings (renewable energy) and others in drafting of various lease agreements (including development lease agreements).
  • Rand Merchant Bank, First National Bank, Standard Bank, ABSA and Investec, amongst others on registration of security, including mortgage and notarial bonds.
