Overview

Norma is a Master Reward Specialist with expertise in remuneration and talent management. She has extensive experience advising Management and Board Remuneration Committees on Total Reward Strategies, Remuneration Governance as well as Reward Philosophy and Strategy Design.

She has also worked in various corporates as a Reward Manager and Head of Reward. With the primary functions of setting and implementing policies for reward, including salary and benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, retention, and recognition. She was responsible for the Payroll, HR Management Information Systems and Employee Wellness functions.  Norma was the Principal Officer of a South African HealthCare company’s Provident fund, and Executive Director for the JSE listed Subsidiary.

She has exceptional people skills, that shine through her ability to remain calm under pressure, fostering a collaborative environment where diverse stakeholders feel heard and valued. Her adeptness at stakeholder management ensures effective communication and alignment of goals, even in challenging situations.

  • Design and implementation of rewards strategies and policies is trusted by clients including Harmony, Exxaro, Old Mutual, JSE, Absa, Netcare, MTN, Woolworths and Growthpoint.
  • From an industry perspective, Norma serves on the South African Reward Association (SARA) Professionalisation Committee, forms part of the Panel of Judges for the Annual Reward Project of the Year award and speaks at conferences on reward related topics.
