Experience

- Advised SACE, Unicredit Bank AG and Unicredit S.p.A on an amendment to a multimillion Euro facilities agreement made to the Government of Kenya.
- Advised PROPARCO on the restructuring of a secured loan in the sum of USD 8,000,000 to a large corporate entity in the hotel industry.
- Advised Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited on a development loan up to USD 25,900,000 to Gateway CCI SEZ Limited.
- Advised IFC and Proparco on the secured facilities in connection with the cross jurisdictional Kasada financing on Project Umba.
- Advised Nedbank Limited, London Branch on a mezzanine loan facility that will be subordinated to Nedbank’s facility to Cold Solutions Kiambu SEZ Limited.
- Advised Nedbank Limited, London Branch on a loan up to USD 19,400,000 to Cold Solutions Kiambu SEZ Limited.
- Advised The Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited in the renegotiation of power purchase agreements signed with various independent power producers.
- Advised Glencore Singapore Pte. Ltd with regards to carbon credits purchased by Glencore and provided assistance with the various project and purchase agreements and title to the carbon credits.
- Advised ING Bank N.V., Amsterdam, Lancy/Geneva Branch on facilities to a Kenyan borrower and prepared the Kenyan securities.
- Advising EDFI on its secured loan to a borrower in connection with solar platforms.
- Advised IFC on the transition from Libor from a Kenyan law perspective and assisted with documentation.
- Advising IFC on its secured loan to Stellar Warehousing with securities in Kenya.
- Advised Proparco on its USD 20 M loan to Tourism Promotion Services Kenya (TPSK).
- Advised Proparco on its USD 12M secured facilities to the Goodlife Group.
- Advised Mogo and 4G Capital on the Central Bank of Kenya (Digital Credit Providers) Regulations, 2022.
- Due diligence on Watu Credit (Kenya) Limited on behalf of the lender in connection with a secured loan facility.
- Due diligence on behalf of the lender on Hela Intimates EPZ Limited in connection with a secured loan facility.
- Advised Tiserin Capital Management Limited on facilities to a Kenya Borrower and conducting a legal due diligence in connection with a convertible loan in the sum of USD 200,000.
- Advised Victoria Commercial Bank Limited in its provision of a secured loan to an educational entity.
- Advised I&M Bank Limited on facilities to a Kenyan Borrower and structuring and preparing the Kenyan securities.
- Due diligence on behalf of the lender on Africa Chemist & Beauty Care, Inc in connection with a secured subordinated loan.
- Advised on the development of a 40 MW solar PV power plant in Kenya.
