Conducted legal feasibility. I supported engagements with regulatory authorities, drafted and reviewed project documentation and provided support in obtaining relevant approvals for the project.
- Confidential client – The Nairobi City County Smart Street Lighting PPP Project for the modernisation and retrofitting of 110,000 streetlights in Nairobi, encompassing legal due diligence, advisory on the PPP Project structure, advisory on public procurement regulations, stakeholder engagements and drafting project documentation.
- Kenya Climate Ventures Limited – Provided legal advisory support in structuring a special purpose vehicle to facilitate climate-focused investments in a legally robust manner. Supported the fund manager registration process and conducted legal due diligence on potential investments to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Kenya Telecommunication Network Operators (KTNO)- provided legal advisory on policy and regulatory measures to address the high cost of energy to power telecommunication network infrastructure in Kenya. This entailed: reviewing and analyzing applicable laws, policies and regulations; developing a white paper on proposed policy and regulatory measures to reduce the cost of power for telecommunication network providers and facilitating engagements between KTNO, Kenya Private Sector Alliance and the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority on the proposed policy and regulatory measures.
