Overview
Adhiambo Wameyo is an associate in our Dispute Resolution department of our Nairobi office and a member of the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Practice.
Adhiambo has experience in a range of dispute resolution matters including debt recovery, real estate and land disputes, employment and labour relations disputes, intellectual property disputes, tax litigation, international and local arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, advisory and general dispute resolution.
She has an LLB from the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom) in Law with French Law and French Language and a Certificat Supérieur de Droit Français et Européen from L’Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Paris II). She also holds an LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Adhiambo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of the Law Society of Kenya

Relevant Experience
- Part of the team acting on behalf of various trading and manufacturing companies dealing with food products in Kenya, in a Petition challenging Section 32 (a) (iv) of the Finance Act, 2021 to the extent that it seeks to amend paragraph 1 part 1 of the First schedule of the Excise Duty Act, to impose an excise duty rate of 20% for Imported Pasta.
- Part of the team acting on behalf of WPP Scangroup PLC in successfully defending its “Landor” trademark and having the infringing company name struck off from the Companies’ register.
- Part of the team acting on behalf of Ericsson Kenya Limited in relation to a claim lodged by its former employees in the Employment and Labour Relations Court (ELRC) and in the Court of Appeal. The cases clarified the issues of deductions exceeding statutory limit and the thresholds for employee discrimination.
- Part of the teams that successfully defended Swissport Kenya in environmental claims.
