Bowmans’ newsflash of 17 November 2021 (available on our website here) reported that a draft Bunkering Code of Practice and a draft Ship-to-Ship Transfer (STS) Code of Practice had been published.
These draft Codes have since been updated. On 6 September 2022, the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) published Marine Information Notice 10-22, calling for public comment on the updated draft Codes. The closing date for public comments is 22 September 2022.
