Keith Wells, Brandwell

I just read the awful news about Robert. It’s no comfort to anyone, but I simply wanted to add my name to what I’m sure will be a very long list of people paying tribute to him. During our project time, I always found Rob a delight to talk with (he even supported the same football team as me, and that’s rare) while clearly an intensely bright man with deep integrity.

I hope that you and everyone in the Firm are as “ok” as you can possibly be – thinking of you all.

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Robert Legh. On behalf of all at A&K and ALN please accept our deepest condolences and please pass these condolences also to Robert’s family.

I met him several times over the years and always enjoyed our chats. He was an outstanding leader and a fine gentleman, who has left a proud legacy in the law. His stature and presence will be sorely missed of course by the Bowmans family but also well beyond that.

It is very saddening news. Funny things you remember about people. When I close my eyes, I can see him dancing in the way only he did. He was a kind and gentle man. May God rest his soul in eternal peace.

Please convey our deepest condolences to his family, his partners both in Kenya and SA and indeed the entire team at Bowmans. We are keeping you all in prayer.

I was very sad to learn of Rob’s death. I worked very closely with him for many years in difficult times. I learnt what a fine and courageous lawyer he was. He was always also a great source of fun for all who worked with him. Please pass on my condolences to the Firm and to his family.
