Overview
Lameck specializes in banking and finance, projects, energy, infrastructure and PPP. He is one of the first lawyers in Tanzania to work on large-scale PPPs jointly financed by the World Bank and the African Development Bank. He has also advised a number of international lenders and DFIs like the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), Citibank N.A., Standard Bank (SA), Standard Bank (Mauritius), and Rand Merchant Bank in relation to finance transactions in Tanzania.
His notable work includes advising on acquisition finance deals involving regional telecom companies; project finance structuring in the first Bus Rapid Transit system in East Africa which involved multiple government agencies; EPC contracts in Tanzania’s ground breaking SGR project; negotiating PPAs and Implementation Agreements on behalf of international IPPs in the renewables space; and traditional finance advice for both local and international financiers.
