Overview
Summer specialises in corporate law, including transactional work. She has experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, circulars, shareholders agreements, memoranda of incorporation, joint venture agreements, lease agreements and other mergers and acquisitions-related agreements. Her main focus is company law and corporate governance.

- SAS Shipping Agencies Services S.à r.l., a wholly owned subsidiary of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SAS, on the recommended cash acquisition of Mediclinic International plc by Manta Bidco Limited, a newly formed company owned by joint offerors: (i) Remgro Limited (through relevant Remgro subsidiaries); and (ii) SAS Shipping Agencies Services S.à r.l.
- Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited on the acquisition of a strategic minority interest in Alexander Forbes by Prudential Financial Inc and Leapfrog Investments Group, Ltd.
- Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited on the sale of its linked investment service provider business to Sanlam Life Insurance Limited.
- Absa Bank Limited and EFS Namibia Proprietary Limited, Absa Group Limited’s Namibian subsidiary, on the sale of the Edcon store card portfolios, in South Africa and Namibia, to RCS Cards Proprietary Limited and RCS Investment Holdings Namibia Proprietary Limited, wholly-owned subsidiaries of the French bank, BNP Paribas.*
- Wilson Bayly Holmes-Ovcon Limited (WBHO) on the establishment of a new B-BBEE ownership transaction.
- Vitol Mauritius Limited on the sale of its interest in Terminal de Carvão da Matola Limitada, a terminal in the Maputo Port of Mozambique to Grindrod Mauritius.
- MTN Group Limited and MTN (Dubai) Limited on the sale of 50% of the MTN Group’s interest in aYo Holdings Limited to Sanlam Emerging Markets Limited.
- Invictus Education Group and Investec Bank Limited on the introduction of Sommet Education Sarl (Switzerland) as a shareholder of Invictus Education Group; Sommet is acquiring a majority stake in Invictus Education Group, thereby doubling its worldwide footprint.*
- Brookfield Asset Management, a Canadian company which operates renewable power assets, on the sale of 5 Project Companies (as well as their management company located in South Africa) to the Globeleq group.*
- PPC South Africa Holdings Proprietary Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PPC Limited (listed on the JSE), on the sale of its entire shareholding in PPC Lime Limited to Kgatelopele Lime Proprietary Limited.*
- AB Volvo (publ) on the carve-out of the UD Trucks business.*
- Deere & Co (listed on the New York Stock Exchange) on the sale of its 31.37% interest in Bell Equipment Limited (listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange) to IA Bell.*
- Access Bank Plc (listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange) on its proposed investment in Grobank Limited, a public unlisted South African bank.*
- The Independent Board of Cartrack Holdings Limited on the South African Takeover Regulations, together with the roles and responsibilities of the Independent Board.*
- AngloGold Ashanti Limited, on the negotiation and finalisation of three lease agreements relating to residential and commercial mine properties in South Africa.*
