BOWMANS SCOOPS LARGE LAW FIRM PRO BONO AWARD

Bowmans scooped the Large Law Firm Award at the fifth annual Pro Bono Awards held at the Women's Jail conference venue at Constitution Hil on 21 November 2019. The award was presented to Bowmans for providing a significant number of pro bono hours during the year.

The annual Pro Bono Awards, hosted by ProBono.Org, celebrate the contribution of legal professionals in assisting the vulnerable who need legal assistance. During the course of the evening awards were given to law firms in three categories that have gone beyond the call of duty.

Apart from being the firm providing a huge number of pro bono hours, Bowmans was consistent in sending volunteers to staff the ProBono.Org domestic violence help desk every Tuesday. Bowmans were also commended for the numerous workshops it hosted for ProBono.Org.

On accepting the award, Fatima Laher, Head of Pro Bono commented, “Our firm has constantly received recognition for our pro bono contribution from both national and international clearing houses over the past few years. These awards are testament to our firm’s commitment to doing pro bono work and the continued support of our volunteers across all of our offices.”
