Leading African law firm, Bowmans, has once again been recognised for its leadership as a dealmaker in East Africa.

The DealMakers Africa Awards, announced on Friday 11 March 2022, placed Bowmans at the top of the M&A deal tables in East Africa by both deal value and deal flow, with a 52% and a 40% share of the market respectively.

Bowmans also advised on the deals named East Africa Deal of the Year (the sale of Dudutech Integrated Pest Management to Bioline Group) and East Africa Private Equity Deal of the Year (Adenia Partners’ majority acquisition of Red Lands Roses).

Paras Shah, managing partner of Bowmans Kenya says ‘We are incredibly proud of our success in the Dealmakers East Africa rankings and awards for East Africa. The recognitions, on the back of our recent ‘Kenya Law Firm of the Year’ award at both the Chambers Africa Awards and the EAVCA Awards, firmly cement our position as the leading M&A firm in East Africa.  We congratulate our clients,  Adenia Partners and Bioline Group, whose deals were both awarded deals of the year accolades.’
