Leading African law firm, Bowmans, has appointed Claudia Jackson as a partner in its Aviation Team with effect from 1 April 2020.  This move will bolster the firm’s niche aviation and insurance offering across the continent.

Chairman and senior partner, Robert Legh, says, ‘We are delighted to welcome Claudia to Bowmans. She has many years’ experience advising clients on complex matters in various African jurisdictions, which will complement our existing skill in this area.’

Jackson has eight years’ post-qualification experience working in top-tier international law firms and helping clients in the aviation and insurance sectors.

She has advised major role players in these industries on issues ranging from policy response to complex multi-jurisdictional dispute resolution and regulatory compliance. Jackson is an exceptional technical lawyer with a proven track record in managing teams and projects.

In addition to an LLM and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution from the University of London, Jackson has an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand and Bachelor and Masters degrees in Arts from Cambridge University.

Heather Manson, head of the firm’s Aviation Team concludes, ‘There is a growing demand for specialist legal services generally, and aviation and insurance are no exception. Claudia’s skill set will be of great value to our clients in this increasingly complex environment.’
