- She assisted with the real estate portion of due diligence task in one of the firm’s client’s sale of 30% of the issued share capital of a company whose business is one of the country’s leading supermarket chains. The main task was to review all of the company’s land assets, leases and licenses for all of the countrywide branches.
- She played a crucial role in facilitating a tourism conservation lease arrangement between a client and the Shompole Community in Narok District. This involved extensive work in drafting and negotiating all the transaction documents, which included complex negotiations on various aspects such as the specific area to be leased, infrastructure requirements, provisions for water and sanitation, and environmental considerations.
Our team also undertook the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the relevant laws, particularly the newly enacted Community Land Act. This involved gathering all the necessary conditions precedents and overseeing the process of replacing the existing title to align with the new land registration regime. Additionally, we managed the registration process for the lease in question.
The estimated value of this transaction is approximately KES 827 million
- She is currently assisting in the sale of thirteen (13) town houses. The value of each town house being KES 157.5 million.
- She is currently assisting with the sale of 11 serviced plots situate in Diani, Kwale County for construction of high-end controlled developments/beach houses. The serviced plots are currently being sold at KES. 30 million each.
- She is currently assisting with sale of 45 numbered luxurious town villas situate in Karen, Nairobi consisting of four- and five-bedroom villas each set on individual half acre plots (Bogani Park) whose value is KES. 3,600,000,000.
- She is assisting in the acquisition of 50% of the issued share capital of a Kenyan company by a Mauritius company involved in investing in an Export Processing Zone through the construction of godowns and leasing them under triple net leases. The transaction is valued at approximately KES 50,000,000.
- She is assisting with the setup of several house sites in Loisaba and Suyian Conservancies, with each site being valued at a premium of USD 2,500,000. These premiums will support conservation efforts in the respective conservancies.
