Ivan Vorster is a senior associate in our Banking and Financial Services Regulatory Practice and a member of the Banking and Finance Department.

Ivan’s banking and finance experience includes leveraged finance, debt restructuring and project finance.

Ivan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Economics) (Cum Laude) and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch, and a Master of Finance degree from the University of Cambridge.

Relevant Experience

• Advised Rand Merchant Bank in ZAR 1.2 billion sale of McDonald’s South Africa.
• Advised Lenders in EUR 30 million and ZAR 600 billion Multi-Currency Debt Package for Africa’s second largest pharmaceutical company.
• Advised an international mining company on debt restructuring for its South African operations
