Overview
Henry Ngcobo is a lawyer in our Johannesburg office Dispute Resolution Department.
He specialises in all aspects of employment, labour law, administrative law, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He advises corporate and public-sector clients on various aspects of employment law, inter alia, collective bargaining, strikes, judicial reviews, rescissions, restructuring and unfair dismissals; and industrial relations.
He also conducts due diligence exercises in the context of commercial transactions and advises international corporate clients on the consequences of these transactions on employee benefits. His expertise extends to industrial relations and the procedures to be followed in transferring employees and in retrenchment exercises. He represents clients in private arbitrations, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), the Labour Court, the Labour Appeal Court, High Courts and Supreme Court of Appeal.
He holds an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a BProc from Vista University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand.
