  • Advising the Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited as local counsel together with Clifford Chance LLP on the proposed PPP structure for the Lot 15 concession to finance, build, operate and maintain the sections between Riamukurwe – Gatitu Road, Munungaine-Nyeri UCB4 Roads, Kutus- Kiarie (Kithiriti) Road, Murang’a – Mucunguca –Kiangange Road, Ndikwe-Kiria Road, Kanjuki – Kathwana (Makutano) Road, Muthatari – Kimangaru Road, Majimbo – Karurina Roads, Industrial Area Road, Upper Muthaiga Road; which measure approximately 45 km and the Lot 18 Concession which covers the sections between Kakamega – Ilesi and Lutonyi – Kakamega, Vihiga Chavakali-Munoywa-Kiritu, Mateka – Samoia, Mateka- Mwanda – Siritanyi – A104, Busia (Jn B1)-Alupe (Jnc C43) bypass; which measure approximately 35 km.
  • Advised Government of the Republic of Kenya acting through the National Treasury as borrower in respect of a term loan facility for USD 250 million from a syndicate of lenders arranged by Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Dank (TDB) (formerly trading as PTA bank).
  • Advised Government of the Republic of Kenya acting through the National Treasury as issuer in respect of USD 1 billion 250 per cent. Notes due 2028 and USD 1 billion 8.250 per cent. Notes due 2048 issued by the Republic of Kenya acting through The National Treasury.
  • Advised International Finance Corporation (IFC) and other parallel lenders in connection with the financing to a local Kenyan manufacturing group and separately to a local Kenyan commercial bank.
  • Advised Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund (the Lender) in relation to the term loan facility for up to USD 4 million to Cooper K-Brands Limited and Kzanaka Limited (as Guarantor) to partially finance the construction and equipping of an animal nutritional health product facility.
  • Advised Renewable Energy Performance Platform in relation to a USD 8.169 million secured financing of a hydro power project being developed by Keen Energy Limited.
  • Advised Investec Bank Limited in relation to the proposed secured financing in the sum of USD 6.5 million) to be provided by Investec Bank Ltd to Monsa East Africa Ltd for the construction of a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) terminal in Mombasa, Kenya. The Proposed Facility would be guaranteed by Petredec Limited.
  • Advised Nedbank Limited acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking Division (as Agent) in relation to the syndicated unsecured revolving credit facility agreement of up to USD 100 million entered into between, amongst others, the Agent, the parent company ETC Group, E.T.G. Agri Inputs FZE (as Borrower) and the Original Guarantors therein specified including the Company.
  • Advised Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (the Finance Parties) in connection with the senior term facilities agreement entered into by Two Rivers Lifestyle Centre Limited (as Borrower), Two Rivers Development Limited (the Company) as Shareholder, Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited (as Original Senior Lender, Original Hedge Counterparty, Agent and Account Bank) and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking division (as Security Trustee) and the mezzanine term facilities.
  • Advised Stanbic Bank of Kenya Limited and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking division in connection with the facilities agreement entered into with Africa Logistics Properties Holdings Ltd (as Parent Guarantor), ALP North Limited, ALP North Two Limited and ALP North Three Limited (as the Borrowers).
  • Advised Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited in relation to the term loan facilities of up to USD 9.5 million entered into between Dodhia Packaging Kenya Limited and Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited.
