UPDATE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS IN SOUTH AFRICA

In December 2013 the Department of Energy (as it now is) published an “update Report“ on the Integrated Resource Plan 2010-30 (IRP2010-30).1 The reason given for the publication of the update report is that there have been a number of developments in the energy sector in South and Southern Africa since the publication of the IRP2010-30 in 2011 and also electricity demand outlook has changed markedly from that expected in 2010.
