Competition law developments across Africa continue to attract global attention as more jurisdictions introduce competition legislation and some African countries have already amended their competition law and regulations to improve effectiveness. New competition authorities are tasked with protecting competition in local markets and with the greater challenge of changing the competitive landscape in their countries, as improved competition enforcement becomes more of a priority on the African continent.
